Lead Janitor (Contingency) – Baghdad

About the role

The Janitor Lead provides direct supervision and leadership over janitorial staff supporting KBR operations in Baghdad. This contingency position ensures that all assigned residential facilities are kept clean, safe, and mission‑ready in compliance with KBR, U.S. Government, and Embassy standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and coordinate daily activities of assigned janitorial personnel.
• Assign work schedules, duties, and specific areas of responsibility.
• Conduct routine inspections to verify cleanliness, safety, and compliance with KBR, MISS, and U.S. Embassy standards.
• Train new and existing staff on proper cleaning methods, safety practices, and chemical handling.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, ensure proper storage, and submit replenishment requests.
• Enforce safety policies, PPE requirements, and SDS/MSDS guidelines.

Required profile

• Local national able to read, write, and speak English.
• Minimum four (4) years of related janitorial or housekeeping experience.
• Valid country or international driver’s license and ability to obtain and maintain MRPT and local base access.
• Strong attention to detail and quality assurance.

Required skills

• Safe chemical handling and SDS/MSDS documentation.
• Familiarity with MISS inspection standards and reporting requirements.
