Janitor – Facility Cleaning (Contingency)

About the role

The Janitor will support KBR operations in Baghdad by keeping offices, residential apartments, and common areas clean, safe, and sanitary. This position is essential for health, safety, and mission continuity within the Department of State diplomatic housing.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize offices, hallways, restrooms, stairwells, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and doors.
• Disinfect frequently touched surfaces such as doorknobs, railings, and desks.
• Refill restroom supplies (soap, paper towels, tissue).

Required profile

• Local national of Iraq.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a MRPT and local base access.
• Valid country or international driver’s license.
• Preferred: prior janitorial or custodial experience in government, embassy, or military facilities; experience in secure environments; familiarity with U.S. Government or KBR cleaning standards.

Required skills

• Safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment (knowledge of SDS/MSDS).
• Understanding of U.S. Government/KBR cleaning and sanitation standards.
