Laboratory Technician – Quality Control

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Laboratory Technician to join our Quality Control team in an industrial production environment. You will ensure the quality, consistency, and regulatory compliance of lubricant oils, greases, coolants, base oils, additives, and related raw materials.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine physical and chemical tests on finished lubricants, antifreeze/coolants, base oils, additives and raw materials.
• Conduct viscosity, density, flash point, pour point, color, pH, TBN/TAN, CCS viscosity, water content, glycol concentration and foam testing.
• Collect and prepare samples from production and storage tanks according to SOPs.
• Issue Certificates of Analysis for finished products and accurately record all results.
• Support blending and filling operations, calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments.
• Ensure laboratory safety, HSE compliance and report any non‑conforming results.
• Assist product development and trial production activities.
• Maintain inventory of chemicals and consumables.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Petrochemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry or related field.
• 2–5 years of laboratory experience, preferably in lubricant, oil & gas, petrochemical or antifreeze production.
• Strong knowledge of ASTM testing standards.
• Good English communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, team‑oriented attitude and commitment to safety.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with viscometers, flash point testers, density meters, CCS equipment, pH meters and titration systems.
• Proficiency in performing viscosity, density, flash point, pour point, color, pH, TBN/TAN, water content, glycol concentration and foam tests.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and laboratory reporting systems.
• Knowledge of ASTM testing standards.
