Junior Partnerships Officer

About the role

Baly, Iraq’s leading super‑app, is looking for a Junior Partnerships Officer to help grow its ecosystem of local business partners in Baghdad. This entry‑level position offers the chance to contribute directly to Baly’s expansion by securing cost‑effective, mutually beneficial offers.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and engage local businesses to establish partnerships aligned with Baly’s strategic goals.
• Negotiate offers that are cost‑effective for Baly while delivering tangible benefits.
• Monitor customer retention linked to partnerships and implement improvement strategies.
• Collaborate with Cab growth, Food growth, marketing, legal, and finance teams to align partnership initiatives.
• Manage the budget allocated for partnership activities, ensuring efficient spending.
• Report regularly on partnership performance, including KPIs such as offer costs, benefits, and retention rates.
• Conduct offline meetings with potential and existing partners as needed.

Required profile

• No prior professional experience required; internships or coursework in partnerships, business development, or marketing are a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Smart decision‑making focused on cost‑effective outcomes.
• Self‑motivated, eager to learn, and able to work collaboratively across functions.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Google Suites.
• Basic knowledge of SQL.
