Information Technology Application Manager

About the role

The Applications Manager leads the bank’s applications and core banking systems function, ensuring efficient operation, continuous enhancement, and alignment with business needs. This senior role oversees system development, implementation, support, and drives digital transformation initiatives while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and lead the Applications (Banking Systems) Department both technically and administratively.
• Oversee development, enhancement, and maintenance of banking applications and systems, including upgrades and releases.
• Coordinate with business units to gather requirements, implement solutions, conduct testing, and ensure timely delivery.
• Monitor project execution, provide status reports, and ensure proper documentation throughout the application lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, participate in DR/BCP initiatives, and manage vendor relationships.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the banking sector.
• Strong business analysis capabilities and excellent command of English.

Required skills

• Experience with Core Banking Systems (e.g., BANKS).
• Strong knowledge of UNIX and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with banking applications and services (e.g., AML, ECC).
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).
• Knowledge of application servers such as Apache, WebLogic, Tomcat, JBoss.
