Information Technology Application Manager

About the role

The Applications Manager leads the bank’s applications and core banking systems function, ensuring reliable operation, continuous enhancement, and alignment with business needs. This senior role drives digital transformation initiatives, oversees system development, implementation and support, and guarantees compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and lead the Applications (Banking Systems) department both technically and administratively.
• Oversee development, enhancement, and maintenance of core banking applications and related systems.
• Support digital transformation projects and ensure reliable technical support for all business units and branches.
• Coordinate with business units to gather requirements, implement solutions, conduct testing, and deploy releases.
• Monitor project execution, provide status reports, and ensure timely delivery of development and maintenance activities.
• Maintain documentation, departmental processes, policies, and procedures throughout the application lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with Central Bank and other regulatory requirements, and participate in DR, BCP, and crisis management.
• Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and performance monitoring.
• Evaluate technical and financial proposals for system procurement and ensure high‑quality application support services.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the banking sector, preferably in application management or core banking systems.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage projects, and work with cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on continuous improvement and strategic planning.
