Head of Business Development & Finance

About the role

The Head of Business Development & Finance will lead the coordination of the company’s existing and future projects from both development and financing perspectives. This senior position aims to strengthen in‑house capabilities, reduce reliance on external consultants, and provide management with clear visibility on project progress, costs, risks, and financing options.

Key responsibilities

• Track and follow up on all current and upcoming projects, ensuring timelines, milestones and action items are documented and monitored.
• Collaborate with internal teams, consultants, contractors, banks and advisors to keep projects moving forward.
• Prepare and maintain financial models that include assumptions, sensitivities, funding needs, costs, returns and risk scenarios.
• Evaluate financing options such as bank loans, project finance, corporate finance, ECA‑backed schemes and other structures, and recommend the most suitable approach.
• Support negotiation and execution of financing documents for medium‑ and large‑scale transactions.
• Build and maintain relationships with local and international banks, lenders, ECAs, financial and legal advisors.
• Produce regular updates, presentations and reports for management on project status, risks and required actions.

Required profile

• Hands‑on, commercially aware professional with strong finance expertise.
• Proven ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and drive projects forward in a structured, disciplined manner.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to interact with senior management, banks and external advisors.
