Head of Business Applications

About the role

The Head of Business Applications will lead the implementation and adoption of Microsoft Dynamics 365 across Finance, Supply Chain, Sales and other core functions. This senior position is responsible for digitising business processes, governing the application ecosystem and shaping the long‑term digital transformation roadmap for the organisation in Iraq.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end implementation and governance of Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions (Finance & Operations, Business Central, Sales/Customer Service).
• Act as Solution Owner, translating business requirements into functional designs and configurations.
• Drive user adoption, data migration, system performance and post‑go‑live support.
• Manage external implementation partners and system integrators.
• Develop and enforce governance standards for integrations, customisations, data integrity and security.
• Serve as primary liaison between executive stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
• Lead change management initiatives to ensure cultural adoption of new systems.
• Define and execute a long‑term digital transformation strategy, including Power Platform initiatives.
• Identify and mitigate digital risks, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Define, track and report KPIs for application performance and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading ERP/CRM implementations, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Strong governance and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to drive organisational change and digital transformation.
• Experience managing external partners and large‑scale projects.
• Solid understanding of risk management, cybersecurity and regulatory compliance.
