Finance Manager – Lead Financial Operations

About the role

The Finance Manager will head the financial operations of ZMC Cargo in Baghdad, ensuring regulatory compliance, accurate reporting, and strategic support across multiple business units. This role combines leadership of the finance team with hands‑on management of budgeting, cash flow, and risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Ensure compliance with Iraqi financial regulations and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Manage accounting functions including payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and monthly/annual reporting.
• Monitor cash flow, investments, and financial risks to protect company assets.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to senior management.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to achieve operational excellence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 5–10 years of progressive financial management experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of local tax laws, IFRS, and international financial practices.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, CMA or CFA are highly desirable.
• Proven ability to work across diverse business entities and multi‑branch operations.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, NetSuite).
• Advanced financial software proficiency.
