Field Operations Manager

About the role

The Field Operations Manager will lead production and field activities for a major international energy operator in Iraq, ensuring safety, reliability and profitability of assets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead field operations and production activities.
• Deliver safe and efficient oil & gas production against agreed targets.
• Oversee maintenance, inspection and operational‑support functions.
• Establish production and emissions‑performance objectives.
• Manage operational budgets, OPEX, CAPEX and annual plans.
• Drive continuous improvement, digitalisation and innovation.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, regulatory and company requirements.
• Interface with partners, authorities and senior stakeholders.
• Lead multicultural teams and develop the Iraqi workforce.
• Manage operational emergencies and crisis‑response activities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of oil & gas operations experience.
• Strong knowledge of production operations and facility management.
• Understanding of oil & gas processing and field operations.
• Experience managing major operational assets and large teams.
• Strong leadership and decision‑making skills in high‑risk environments.
• Fluent in English and Arabic; French is advantageous.
