Executive Sous Chef

About the role

We are looking for a passionate Executive Sous Chef to support our Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations and to lead the team during the Executive Chef’s absence. The role focuses on delivering exceptional guest experiences through high‑quality food production, creative event menus, and strict hygiene standards.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Executive Chef to manage all aspects of food production and drive continuous quality improvement.
• Design, implement, and oversee special events and food promotions.
• Monitor production standards to ensure the highest level of quality across all kitchen stations.
• Implement HACCP procedures and maintain municipal hygiene requirements at all times.
• Maintain comprehensive product knowledge of ingredients, equipment, suppliers, markets and current culinary trends.
• Analyze local competitor offerings and benchmark against hotel food operations.
• Control and monitor all elements of the hotel’s food cost.

Required profile

• Professional kitchen apprenticeship or formal chef training.
• Minimum five years of experience in high‑end establishments covering pastry, bakery, butchery, à la carte, banquet and buffet service.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Proven expertise in food preparation, presentation and preservation.
• Flexible, well‑organized with strong managerial abilities in a multicultural environment.
• Demonstrated leadership, training capabilities and team‑building skills.
• Detail‑oriented, proactive, customer‑focused and passionate about culinary excellence.
