Executive Chef

About the role

We are looking for an accomplished Executive Chef to lead culinary operations at our hotel in Baghdad. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality dining experiences, driving menu innovation, and ensuring operational excellence in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and motivate a large, diverse kitchen team.
• Develop and execute innovative menus that showcase ingredient quality and brand consistency.
• Manage kitchen operations with analytical precision, including cost control, labor optimization and resource allocation.
• Oversee food safety, sanitation and hygiene, ensuring full compliance with HACCP and local health regulations.
• Organize and execute large‑scale events and special dining experiences.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local suppliers, adapting to regional availability.
• Conduct regular staff training and development programs.
• Analyze performance metrics, manage budgets and make data‑driven decisions to optimize profitability.
• Collaborate with front‑of‑house and management teams to ensure seamless guest experiences.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years experience as an Executive Chef in a high‑volume restaurant or hotel.
• Proven track record managing large kitchen teams in fast‑paced settings.
• Experience with new restaurant openings or pre‑opening kitchen setup.
• Strong culinary education or formal training.
