English Teacher - SABIS School, Erbil

Key responsibilities

• Teach classes using the provided lesson plans (and develop them where needed) so that the SABIS point system can be used in the classroom.
• Mark exams according to the schedule and materials given by the department.
• Implement the SABIS Point System to create a conducive learning environment.
• Proctor exams and manage a proper test environment.
• Support low-performing students through guidance and motivation.
• Help prepare students for external exams by reviewing past papers according to the revision schedule.
• Take on duties such as testing students, substituting for absent teachers, organizing students for lunch and buses, and other administrative tasks assigned by school management.
• Prepare for and take part in student-life activities such as art, open houses and sports, working with the Student Life Coordinator.
• Attend training sessions when requested by school management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
• 1+ years of teaching experience.
• English proficiency.
• Professional behaviour, ethics, accountability, excellent communication skills and a commitment to continuous learning.
