Engineering Manager

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Engineering Manager to support the Chief Engineer/Director of Engineering in maintaining the physical plant and engineering facilities of our hotel. The role ensures reliable operation of mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment, including HVAC and life‑safety systems.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and implement preventive maintenance programmes for all mechanical and electrical assets.
• Supervise maintenance staff and contractors performing minor building work, electrical and mechanical installations.
• Write specifications for electrical, mechanical and related building works in line with local regulations.
• Prioritise electrical and mechanical projects in agreement with senior engineering leadership.
• Advise on health and safety matters related to electricity and work regulations.
• Liaise with local government authorities when required.
• Oversee maintenance of life‑safety systems and report major defects to the Chief Engineer.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum three years of supervisory experience in the hospitality industry.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• Ability to diagnose and rectify subsystem faults.
• Proven capability to work under pressure, produce concise reports and drive innovative solutions.
