Customer Service Officer – Banking

About the role

We are seeking a Customer Service Officer to deliver high‑quality banking services and act as the primary point of contact for our clients. The role combines account management, compliance, and product promotion to ensure an exceptional banking experience.

Key responsibilities

• Open new customer accounts, maintain existing ones, process amendments, reactivate dormant accounts, and close accounts, all in strict accordance with bank policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Welcome customers in‑branch, provide professional and courteous assistance, answer inquiries about products and procedures, help complete required documentation, and resolve complaints promptly.
• Apply Know‑Your‑Customer (KYC) and Anti‑Money‑Laundering (AML/CFT) standards, review customer profiles for compliance, and report any unusual or suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities.
• Identify customer needs, recommend suitable banking products such as accounts, cards, loans and digital services, generate referrals and support the branch’s sales and cross‑selling objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, Economics or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience in customer service, account management or retail banking operations, with a preference for prior banking experience.
• Fluency in both Arabic and English to communicate effectively with a diverse client base.
