Country Manager – Satellite Connectivity (Iraq)

About the role
The Country Manager will lead and expand the commercial operations of a satellite connectivity provider in Iraq. This senior position focuses on driving revenue, building strategic relationships, and positioning the company as a leading provider of Starlink and related value‑added solutions across key verticals.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute a country‑wide sales strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
- Achieve annual and quarterly revenue targets across enterprise, government, maritime, oil & gas, and telecom segments.
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities, building a robust sales pipeline with accurate forecasting.
- Lead complex sales cycles from prospecting through contract closure, promoting Starlink satellite connectivity, managed services, and integrated solutions.
- Maintain strong relationships with key customers, strategic partners, regulators, and stakeholders, acting as the primary commercial contact for major accounts.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, pricing, and customer needs, providing strategic feedback to management.
- Coordinate with operations, finance, legal, logistics, and technical teams to ensure profitable project delivery.
- Support contract negotiations, tender submissions, and commercial proposals while ensuring compliance with local regulations.
- Represent the company in Iraq with professionalism and integrity, fostering a performance‑driven, customer‑centric culture.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Telecommunications or related field (MBA a plus).
- Minimum 10 years of sales and business development experience in Iraq.
- Proven track record in telecom, satellite communications, ICT, managed services or technology sectors.
- Extensive network within enterprise, government, oil & gas, telecom and industrial sectors in Iraq.
- Experience managing strategic accounts and large commercial opportunities.
- Familiarity with tendering processes and government procurement preferred.
- Strong commercial, negotiation and relationship‑management abilities.
- Strategic thinker with hands‑on execution capability and high ownership.
