Core Banking Officer

About the role

ZainCash is seeking a Core Banking Officer to join its technology team in Iraq. The role focuses on the administration, monitoring, and optimisation of the T24 core banking platform and related applications, ensuring reliable service for both consumer and business customers.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily administration and monitoring of T24 and associated systems.
• Assist with performance tuning and optimisation to resolve bottlenecks.
• Manage incidents and problems, provide troubleshooting, and escalate when necessary.
• Support deployments, patches, and system changes following approved procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in application or system support.
• Basic understanding of core banking operations and transaction processing.
• Familiarity with banking operations is an advantage.

Required skills

• Linux administration and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of JBoss application server.
• Understanding of Java applications and log analysis.
• SQL proficiency and basic database query skills.
• Experience with T24 core banking system.
• Performance tuning, incident management, deployment and change management.
