About the role
The Control Room Operator will oversee real‑time plant operations in an oil & gas environment, ensuring safe and efficient process control from the control room. This role requires close coordination with field technicians and rapid response to alarms and emergencies.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor plant process parameters via DCS/control room systems.
- Carry out operational adjustments according to approved procedures and log data and abnormalities.
- Liaise with field technicians for execution of tasks and respond to process alarms and emergencies.
- Support plant commissioning, start‑up and routine shutdown activities.
- Comply fully with site safety, ISSOW and PTW requirements.
Required profile
- 10–15 years of relevant oil & gas control room or process operations experience.
- Internationally recognised qualifications (NVQ, C&G, OPITO, etc.).
- Valid emergency response competency and an international driving licence.
- Experience with commissioning and challenging operating environments.
- Good English; Arabic speaking is a plus.
Required skills
- DCS (Distributed Control System) operation.
- CMMS and SAP usage.
- Familiarity with ISSOW and PTW systems.
- Emergency response competency.
