Contract & Procurement Manager

About the role

CCL Global is supporting a major international energy operator in Iraq and is seeking an experienced Contract & Procurement Manager. The role will lead the contracts and procurement function across multiple large‑scale oil and gas projects, ensuring alignment with project schedules, budgets and operational priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the overall contracts and procurement strategy.
• Lead contracting and procurement activities across projects and operations.
• Oversee tendering, negotiation, award and contract execution.
• Develop sourcing, supplier‑management and contracting frameworks.
• Conduct complex negotiations with contractors, suppliers and partners.
• Manage contract committees and governance processes.
• Monitor contractual risk, claims and dispute‑resolution strategies.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, company procedures and ethical standards.
• Build and develop a high‑performing procurement and contracts organisation.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Law or a related discipline.
• At least 20 years of experience, including senior procurement or contracts leadership.
• Strong knowledge of procurement strategy, sourcing and contract management.
• Experience supporting major industrial or energy projects.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large supplier ecosystems.
• Excellent commercial negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Fluent in English and Arabic.

Required skills
