Computer Systems Analyst I – Erbil

About the role

The Computer Systems Analyst I will support multiple phases of systems analysis for predetermined projects, applying established fact‑finding methods and leveraging knowledge of work processes, programming practices, system software, and equipment. This position works primarily in Erbil and may involve coordination with U.S. government requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct fact‑finding and analysis for routine problems or single activities.
• Prepare detailed specifications for programmers based on higher‑level analyst input.
• Research and resolve routine user issues by modifying existing systems following established precedents.
• Develop cost and deadline estimates for review.
• Adapt guides to specific situations, resolve deviations, and seek advice when needed.
• Supervise technicians or assistants on specific assignments as required.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent (certified).
• CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in computer systems analysis.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government SECRET clearance (active preferred).
• U.S. citizenship and a valid U.S. passport with at least two years validity.
• Eligibility to meet CENTCOM medical requirements and obtain visas for CENTCOM locations.

Required skills

• Competence in most phases of system analysis.
• Systems analysis and design experience, especially in record‑keeping or scientific operations.
• Knowledge of relevant system software, computer equipment, and work processes.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and the capacity to predict impacts of system changes.
