Commissioning Process Lead

About the role

Wood is seeking a Commissioning Process Lead for its Iraq Business Unit, based in Basra. The role will oversee the preparation and execution of commissioning activities for plant systems, ensuring safe and efficient hand‑over of the facility.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate commissioning plans and procedures for assigned systems.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement and construction teams during FEED, detailed design and construction phases.
• Provide commissioning assistance and support during start‑up and performance testing.
• Ensure compliance with HSSE requirements and company ethics throughout the project.
• Travel as required to project sites and support field activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in commissioning of process plants, preferably in oil & gas.
• Strong understanding of FEED, detailed design, procurement and construction processes.
• Ability to work on‑site in Basra and travel to other locations.
• Commitment to health, safety, security and environment standards.
