Commercial Marketing Manager

About the role

The Commercial & Marketing Manager will lead revenue generation and marketing initiatives for the airport in Karbala. This senior position combines commercial strategy, brand promotion, and operational readiness to support the airport’s launch and ongoing growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to increase airport revenue across airline and non‑airline businesses.
• Manage partnerships with airlines, retailers, and service providers, handling contracts, pricing, and commercial agreements.
• Identify new revenue opportunities, track performance, and manage budgets.
• Lead marketing campaigns, brand positioning, digital marketing, PR, and promotions, and support airline route development.
• Collaborate with tourism and travel partners to enhance passenger experience and monitor service quality.
• Ensure all retail and commercial areas are ready for opening, finalize tenant contracts, and support testing and launch operations.
• Maintain strong relationships with partners and tenants, ensuring compliance with agreements.
• Lead and develop the commercial & marketing team, set targets, and drive performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Aviation or a related field; MBA preferred.
• 8–12 years of experience in commercial or marketing roles, with 4–5 years in a managerial position.
• Experience in the aviation or airport industry is preferred.
• Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Relevant certifications such as ACI, AMPAP or IATA are advantageous.
