Civil Group Chief

About the role

Çalık Enerji is seeking a Civil Group Chief to lead civil works on its Wastewater Treatment Plant project in Erbil, Iraq. The role involves overseeing daily site activities, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and schedule requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily site civil works for the project.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and construction teams to ensure project progress.
• Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, safety, and quality standards.
• Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Ensure proper implementation of reinforced concrete, infrastructure, and finishing works on‑site.
• Resolve technical and construction‑related issues in coordination with the project management team.
• Support QA/QC and HSE teams in achieving compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in planning and scheduling of civil works to align with overall project timelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a reputable university.
• Minimum 15 years of professional experience in industrial projects.
• At least 5 years of proven experience in wastewater treatment plant construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete works, infrastructure, and plant construction practices.
• Extensive on‑site management and supervision experience.
• Advanced level of English (written and spoken); experience in Iraq is a strong asset.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in construction management tools.
