Cathodic Protection Specialist

About the role

The Cathodic Protection Specialist will design, implement, monitor and maintain cathodic protection systems for pipelines, tanks and other buried or submerged assets. The role supports corrosion control programs and ensures compliance with international standards and HSE requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Design, install, monitor and maintain cathodic protection (CP) systems for pipelines, tanks and submerged structures.
• Conduct CP surveys, troubleshooting, performance evaluations and integrity assessments in line with industry standards.
• Analyze inspection and monitoring data to identify corrosion risks and recommend corrective actions.
• Support corrosion control programmes, coating assessments and overall asset integrity management.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, international standards and health‑safety‑environment (HSE) requirements.
• Coordinate with inspection, corrosion, engineering and operations teams to improve asset reliability.
• Prepare technical reports, CP studies and recommendations for management and clients.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Metallurgical or related engineering discipline.
• Proven experience in cathodic protection and corrosion control within the oil & gas industry.
• Mandatory NACE/AMPP Cathodic Protection Level 2 or Level 3 certification.
• Strong knowledge of CP systems, corrosion mechanisms, coatings and integrity management practices.
• Good technical reporting, analytical and communication skills.
