Carpenter Supervisor

About the role

The Carpenter Supervisor will be stationed at one of Amentum's sites in Iraq, supporting the Operations and Maintenance Support Services (OMSS) contract for the U.S. Department of State. Reporting to the site O&M Manager, you will lead office and residential relocation projects and oversee minor furniture repairs.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a safe workplace and ensure compliance with Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Assurance standards.
• Assign daily work and supervise a multi‑national team of locksmiths and carpenters.
• Perform carpentry tasks such as carpet, tile, and linoleum installation, window and frame work, stair repairs, sign fabrication, and drywall/steel stud installation.
• Install ceiling tracks, ceiling tiles, piping, equipment, and Steelcase office furniture.
• Execute minor furniture repairs on site within an eight‑hour window.
• Coordinate office and residential relocations, including delivery and installation of furniture.
• Conduct scheduled and unscheduled inspections, report SOW non‑compliance, and assist in SOW development.
• Handle administrative duties: ordering materials, inventory management, scheduling, and reporting.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of general carpentry experience in operations and maintenance.
• At least 3 years of O&M experience in an overseas setting.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize safety and adhere to EHS and QA requirements.
• Experience supervising a diverse workforce.
