Business Development & Public Relations Officer

About the role

The Business Development & Public Relations Officer will support the Iraq Vortex Beauty Expo by driving exhibitor acquisition, managing sales leads, and enhancing the event’s public profile. This contract position combines remote work with regular field visits across Baghdad, requiring strong communication and relationship‑building skills.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily outbound calls to prospective exhibitors, sponsors and partners.
• Schedule and coordinate sales meetings for the Sales Team.
• Visit potential exhibitors and strategic partners throughout Baghdad.
• Maintain accurate lead and customer data in the Odoo CRM system.
• Research, identify and qualify new exhibitor opportunities.
• Support the sales cycle with timely follow‑up and communication.
• Prepare daily and weekly sales activity reports.
• Plan and execute public‑relations campaigns, write and distribute press releases.
• Build and maintain relationships with local, regional and international media.
• Coordinate interviews, press conferences and media coverage.
• Monitor media coverage and produce PR performance reports.
• Participate in daily online meetings with the Head Office via Google Meet.

Required profile

• Proven experience in public relations, business development, sales coordination or a similar commercial role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, comfortable making outbound calls.
• Experience using a CRM system, preferably Odoo, for lead management.
• Familiarity with Google Meet for virtual collaboration.
