Behavioral Health Specialist - Mission Iraq

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Specialist to provide on‑site mental health support for U.S. Government personnel at Chief of Mission sites in Baghdad and Erbil, Iraq. The position is contingent on contract award and will involve working within the Diplomatic Support Hospital framework.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver behavioral health services to mission personnel while they are in‑country.
• Provide short‑term care to local nationals when authorized by the Contracting Officer’s Representative.
• Conduct mental‑health triage and notify the PMO of any cases involving danger to self or others.
• Support stabilization and coordinate evacuation as needed.
• Maintain documentation and adhere to security clearance requirements.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship with a valid U.S. passport.
• Ability to obtain or hold a Secret clearance.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in behavioral health.
• Willingness to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as required.
