Banking Operations Officer – Iraq

About the role

Albaraka Türk is expanding its interest‑free banking network to Iraq and is looking for an experienced professional to manage daily banking operations across its Iraq branches. The role will support the bank’s commitment to ethical finance, customer service excellence and digital transformation. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring operational excellence and supporting the bank’s growth strategy in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Execute day‑to‑day banking operations in accordance with internal policies and regulatory compliance.
• Process customer accounts, transactions and trade‑finance documentation accurately and efficiently.
• Identify and implement process‑improvement and digital‑transformation initiatives.
• Coordinate with clients, regulators and internal departments as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Banking, Business Administration or Engineering.
• 7–10 years of proven experience in a banking or financial institution.
• Strong knowledge of banking systems, regulations and documentation procedures.
• Excellent analytical, communication and organizational abilities.
