Assistant Finance Manager – Financial Strategy & Reporting

About the role

The Assistant Finance Manager will partner with senior leadership to shape financial strategy, manage large data sets, and act as a key decision‑maker by delivering regular, insightful financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all financial management and internal control activities for assigned legal entities across multiple locations.
• Support Senior Finance Management in establishing a Finance Centre of Excellence.
• Prepare timely and accurate monthly management accounts that highlight key business drivers.
• Compile statutory accounts for the group and its subsidiaries in line with agreed accounting principles.
• Ensure compliance with ongoing IFRS/IAS updates and promote awareness of regulatory changes across sectors and geographies.
• Lead financial meetings, complete accounting and forecasting tasks, and deliver performance reports to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant with at least 5 years post‑qualification experience (ACCA, ACA, CPA, FCCA, CIMA).
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance or a related field.
• 8‑10 years of relevant finance experience.
• Strong knowledge and application of IFRS/IAS.
• Experience in oil refinery, power plant, or oil trading industries.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• SAP experience is highly advantageous.
