Architectural Engineer – Building Construction Inspector

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Architectural Engineer / Inspector to join our construction team in Iraq. The role focuses on ensuring that all architectural works in building projects meet approved drawings, specifications, and international quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct on‑site inspections of architectural elements such as finishes, façades, partitions, ceilings, and waterproofing.
• Verify that all works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Monitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with quality standards and project requirements.
• Review and approve material submittals related to architectural works.
• Prepare inspection reports, snag lists, and related documentation.
• Identify defects or non‑conformities and follow up on corrective actions.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and site teams to obtain approvals and schedule inspections.
• Ensure proper implementation of finishing standards and detailing.
• Verify compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in building construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of architectural inspection standards and finishing works.
• Experience with QA/QC procedures and site inspections.
• Familiarity with international standards such as ASTM, BS and ISO.
• Excellent attention to detail, especially in finishing quality.
• Strong reporting and communication abilities.
