Accounts Payable Supervisor

About the role

Ora Developers Iraq, a real estate development company focused on residential and commercial projects, is hiring an Accounts Payable Supervisor at its headquarters in Baghdad. The role oversees daily accounts payable operations and supervises the accounts payable team.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounts payable operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.
• Review supplier invoices, payment requests and supporting documents for compliance with company policies.
• Monitor outstanding payables and perform regular supplier account reconciliations.
• Coordinate with Procurement and other departments to resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues.
• Support month-end closing and prepare accounts payable reports.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards and company procedures.
• Supervise and support the accounts payable team to maintain accuracy and efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 4-6 years of relevant experience in accounts payable or accounting, preferably including supervisory responsibilities.
• Good command of English and excellent communication skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of accounting principles, accounts payable processes and financial controls.
• Experience with ERP systems and proficiency in MS Excel.
• Analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
