Accounts Payable Accountant

About the role

This position is for an Accounts Payable Accountant who reviews, verifies and posts supplier invoices in SAP S/4HANA, manages vendor reconciliations and payments, and supports the month-end close. The role requires strong knowledge of AP processes and hands-on ERP experience.

Key responsibilities

• Review, verify and post local and foreign supplier invoices in SAP S/4HANA, ensuring proper PO, GRN and invoice matching.
• Perform vendor reconciliations, monitor AP aging and resolve outstanding balances and discrepancies.
• Prepare payment requests with full supporting documentation and coordinate with Treasury for timely processing.
• Monitor supplier advances, debit balances, GR/IR clearing and open vendor items.
• Ensure accurate GL, cost center, profit center and tax classifications.
• Prepare monthly AP reports, reconciliations, accruals and closing schedules.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Warehouse and other departments on invoice and payment issues.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls and SAP maker-checker procedures, and maintain documentation for internal and external audits, including KPMG.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
• Minimum 3-7 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Good communication skills in Arabic and English.

Required skills

• SAP B1 / S4HANA, especially MIRO, MIR7, FBL1N, FB60 and vendor clearing.
• Strong knowledge of AP processes, reconciliations, accrual accounting and internal controls.
• Advanced Excel skills and good analytical ability.
