Accounting Manager

About the role

Alen Factory is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead its finance function at the Erbil site. This full‑time, on‑site position oversees all daily accounting activities and ensures accurate financial reporting in line with IFRS and company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, inventory and cost accounting.
• Ensure timely month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing and prepare financial statements.
• Maintain financial data integrity within SAP Business One.
• Supervise and coach the accounting team, implementing internal controls.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Oversee inventory accounting, stock reconciliations and product costing.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Production, Logistics, Sales and HR for accurate reporting.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, collections and supplier payments.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, tax consultants, banks and regulators.
• Identify process improvements and automation opportunities in SAP.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing full‑cycle accounting operations.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
• Leadership experience supervising an accounting team.
• Ability to develop and enforce internal controls.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
