Accountant & Finance Officer – Iraq

About the role

ABA Medical Group, a German‑based medical devices company, is seeking a motivated Accountant & Finance Officer to manage and support the financial activities of its Iraq branch. The role combines daily accounting tasks with customer relations, banking operations, and international reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations, invoices, expenses, accounts payable/receivable and cash‑flow monitoring.
• Prepare financial reports, reconciliations, budget summaries and support financial planning.
• Communicate and negotiate with hospitals, customers and partners on payments, overdue receivables and settlement schedules.
• Coordinate with local banks for transfers, deposits, bank reconciliations and monitor account balances.
• Produce weekly and monthly financial reports and cooperate with ABA’s management in Germany and with internal teams (sales, logistics, procurement).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant professional experience.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and banking operations.
• Fluent Arabic and good working English.
• Based in Karbala or able to attend the office and client meetings as needed.

Required skills

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Familiarity with accounting software.
