Accountant – Finance Department

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to join the Finance Department of Iraq Mall in Baghdad. The successful candidate will handle day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensure timely collection of tenant payments, and support the preparation of accurate financial reports.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting transactions and financial records.
• Follow up and collect payments from tenants and mall‑related facilities.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Perform account reconciliations and maintain financial accuracy.
• Prepare periodic accounting and financial reports.
• Assist in budgeting and financial planning activities.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Coordinate with internal departments regarding invoices, payments, and financial documentation.
• Assist with internal and external audit requirements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience using accounting systems and financial software.
• Good analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good English communication skills.
• Experience in retail, shopping malls or service‑oriented environments preferred.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and meet deadlines.
