Shop In Charge – Retail Store Manager (Baghdad)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Shop In Charge to lead daily operations of our retail store in Baghdad, Iraq. The role ensures smooth store functioning, excellent customer service, and achievement of sales targets while maintaining high standards of merchandising and hygiene.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily store operations and ensure the outlet runs smoothly in line with company standards.
• Achieve sales targets while monitoring staff performance, discipline, grooming, and customer service on the shop floor.
• Handle customer complaints, escalations, alterations, deliveries, and overall operational coordination.
• Verify daily cash, credit card, and POS transactions and ensure accurate billing, settlements, and cash handling.
• Submit daily sales, cash, operational, and closing reports to management and Head Office.
• Maintain store cleanliness, merchandising standards, stock availability, and adherence to SOPs.
• Coordinate with the Sales Manager and other departments to support promotions, campaigns, and stock requirements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, health and safety, and loss‑prevention procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in retail as a Supervisor, Shop In Charge, or Store Manager, preferably in fashion or similar retail.
• Experience managing a small to medium‑sized team and handling full store operations (sales, cash, inventory, reporting).
• Strong communication skills in Arabic and English.
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and peak trading periods as required.
