Senior Petrophysicist & Wireline Operations Engineer

About the role

KAR OG Alan Sasan DMCC is looking for an experienced Senior Petrophysicist & Wireline Operations Engineer to lead petrophysical studies, wireline logging and well data acquisition across exploration, appraisal and development wells.

Key responsibilities

• Design detailed wireline and formation‑evaluation programs, define logging objectives, tool selection and acquisition sequences.
• Prepare technical scopes, specifications and tender documents for open/cased‑hole logging, pressure testing, coring, cement evaluation, production logging and special services.
• Lead technical evaluation of bids, assessing contractor capability, equipment suitability, HSE performance and operational readiness.
• Supervise wireline and formation‑evaluation operations on‑site, monitor real‑time data quality and ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
• Perform comprehensive petrophysical interpretation and formation evaluation for all well types, integrating LWD/MWD data and supporting well‑planning activities.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in petrophysics and wireline operations within the oil & gas sector.
• Strong understanding of well planning, formation evaluation, pressure testing and fluid sampling.
• Ability to lead technical tender preparation, bid evaluation and on‑site supervision.
• Excellent coordination skills with drilling, geology, reservoir engineering and completion teams.
