Approved Pre-Owned (APO) Inspector – Jaguar Land Rover

About the role

The Approved Pre-Owned (APO) Inspector ensures that every Jaguar and Land Rover pre‑owned vehicle meets JLR’s strict APO standards before it is offered for sale. Working on‑site at the Erbil dealership, you will conduct thorough inspections, identify any issues, and coordinate reconditioning to guarantee vehicle quality and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Perform the full 165‑point APO inspection covering mechanical, electrical, body, interior and safety components.
• Use JLR‑approved diagnostic equipment to test all electronic systems.
• Carry out road tests to assess performance, braking, steering, suspension and noise levels.
• Document faults, estimate parts and labour costs, and prepare detailed repair reports.
• Coordinate with Service, Parts, Warranty and Quality teams to ensure timely reconditioning using genuine JLR parts.
• Re‑inspect vehicles after repairs and approve or reject them for APO certification.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, photographs and diagnostic reports.
• Report any safety concerns, mileage discrepancies or accident damage immediately.

Required profile

• Diploma or technical qualification in Automotive Engineering, Automotive Technology or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in automotive inspection, diagnosis or repair.
• Previous work with Jaguar Land Rover or another premium automotive brand is preferred.
• JLR technical certification or manufacturer‑provided training is an advantage.
• Experience inspecting used or certified pre‑owned vehicles is beneficial.
• Valid driving licence.
