Production Operations Technician (Wells)

About the role

We are seeking experienced Production Operations Technicians to manage and maintain production facilities and well sites in challenging environments. The role involves hands‑on field work, troubleshooting, and supporting junior staff while adhering to strict safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine inspection, operation and maintenance of production facilities and well sites.
• Execute field operational tasks and troubleshoot equipment and process faults.
• Participate in commissioning, start‑up and well‑related operational activities.
• Perform work under Permit‑to‑Work (PTW) controls and maintain high safety standards.
• Support on‑the‑job training for junior personnel.

Required profile

• 10–15 years of oil & gas production experience with mandatory well experience.
• Internationally recognised qualifications (NVQ, C&G, OPITO, etc.).
• Valid emergency response competency and international driving licence.
• Experience in remote or challenging operating environments.
• Good English communication; Arabic is advantageous.

Required skills

• CMMS and SAP proficiency.
• ISSOW and PTW practical experience.
• Commissioning and start‑up expertise.
• Flange management, ESRs, and small‑bore tubing handling.
• Complex work and troubleshooting capabilities.
