Operations Advisor

About the role

The Operations Advisor will lead safe and compliant operations at a hydrocarbon site, acting as the primary link between the ROO Operations team and field activities. The role focuses on safety leadership, coaching, and operational discipline to ensure reliable performance and workforce development.

Key responsibilities

• Promote a strong safety culture, guide daily safe production, manage incidents and conduct root‑cause analysis.
• Oversee risk management and operating discipline, including Management of Change, engineering queries, operational risk assessments, plant handover, Control of Work compliance, incident reporting, and stop‑work authority.
• Coach and develop national staff, ensure HR compliance, motivate the team, manage performance and escalate unresolved issues.
• Monitor daily plant and well performance, support optimisation, maintenance planning, root‑cause analyses, vulnerability management and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to scheduling, project support, defect identification and reporting obligations.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of hydrocarbon operations experience, with at least 5 years in supervisory roles.
• Strong HSE knowledge and mastery of Control of Work systems.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for coaching and leadership.
• Ability to work independently with integrity and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
