Maintenance Manager – Khormala Power Plant

About the role

The Maintenance Manager will lead the maintenance function at the Khormala Power Plant, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient operation of turbines, generators, HRSGs and balance‑of‑plant assets. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to plan outages, manage budgets and drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance strategies for all critical plant equipment.
• Plan and manage both planned and unplanned outages, including resource allocation and contractor coordination.
• Monitor asset condition, implement RCM practices and use CMMS for work order management and KPI tracking.
• Ensure compliance with EHS, ISO and local regulatory standards, supporting audits and inspections.
• Lead, coach and develop the internal maintenance team while overseeing contractor performance.
• Control maintenance budgets, OPEX and spare parts inventory, providing regular reporting to operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Power Plant Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 10+ years of power‑plant maintenance experience, including combined‑cycle plants, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven expertise in turbine, generator and HRSG maintenance, outage management and root‑cause analysis.
• Experience working in multicultural environments across the Middle East.
• Willingness to work on‑site at Khormala and reside in Erbil, Iraq.
