Electrical Engineer – Commissioning & Field Operations

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead commissioning and field operations on large‑scale oil & gas projects. The role involves overseeing high‑ and low‑voltage system energisation, testing, and integration with control and safety systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead on‑site commissioning activities for HV and LV electrical networks.
• Perform functional and loop testing, validate electrical diagrams and schematics.
• Integrate DCS, ESD, F&G and PLC systems into the overall plant architecture.
• Manage documentation processes including RFC, AOC and TOMC.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction and start‑up teams following OPERCOM methodology.

Required profile

• 10+ years of commissioning/field operations experience.
• Minimum 6‑7 years leading electrical and system commissioning.
• Proven on‑shore field site experience on major oil & gas projects.
• Engineering degree in Electrical, Power Systems or related discipline.

• High Voltage (HV) systems commissioning and testing.
• Low Voltage (LV) distribution systems.
• Power distribution network expertise.
• Electrification networks for wells and production facilities.
• Electrical diagram conformity checks (SLDs, schematics, wiring diagrams).
• Functional testing and validation.
• DCS (Distributed Control System) electrical interfaces.
• ESD (Emergency Shutdown) systems.
• F&G (Fire & Gas) systems.
• PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) integration.
• Loop testing procedures.
• OPERCOM methodology and ICAPS systems.
• RFC, AOC and TOMC documentation processes.
• Electrical safety standards and procedures.
