Construction IT & Telecom Lead

About the role

The IT & Telecom Lead / Construction Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all telecommunications construction activities across greenfield and brownfield scopes within the Majnoon Oil Field. The role ensures safe execution, technical integrity, compliance with international standards, and alignment with project cost and schedule objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with KBR and project HSE standards for all telecom construction work.
• Supervise installation, configuration, testing and preservation of fiber optic networks, structured cabling, radio systems, CCTV, access‑control systems, PIDs and voice/data/video networks.
• Review and validate vendor test results for fiber optic and network performance.
• Manage telecom contractors and vendors, guaranteeing adherence to specifications and quality requirements.
• Develop construction strategies for greenfield and brownfield scopes and align them with engineering, procurement and construction sequencing.
• Conduct constructability reviews, identify risks and optimise execution plans.
• Provide accurate progress reporting and maintain documentation integrity.
• Coordinate with Engineering, HSE, Construction and Contracts & Procurement teams to resolve technical issues.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading telecom construction teams in large‑scale industrial environments.
• Strong understanding of safety practices related to confined spaces, lifting operations, electrical work and cable installation.
• Ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple concurrent construction activities.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
