Cashier / Accountant

About the role

NURA Medical Center in Erbil is looking for a Cashier/Accountant to manage daily cashiering and accounting activities accurately and efficiently, in line with accounting principles and Sardar Group policies and procedures. The role covers cash receipts and payments, financial records, accounting transactions, financial reporting support, cash control and reconciliation.

Key responsibilities

• Handle customer payments (cash, cheques, bank cards), issue receipts and vouchers, and record daily cash receipts, payments, invoices and transactions.
• Perform daily cash counts, reconcile cash balances and report discrepancies to the Manager; prepare daily bank deposits and manage petty cash.
• Record accounts payable and receivable, post branch transactions in the accounting system, verify invoices, purchase requisitions and vouchers, and prepare journal entries and general ledger reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly financial statements, vendor cheques, payroll processing and expense records for vehicles, spare parts, materials and labour.
• Maintain organized financial records, contracts, invoices and payment documents, and take part in monthly and annual stocktaking.
• Ensure compliance with group policies and internal controls, keep cash, safes, keys, alarms and cameras secure, and support process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or a Diploma in Accounting.
• Minimum 2 years in a cashiering or accounting-related role.
• Fluency in Kurdish, Arabic and English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office programs.
