Security Assistance Mentor & Cultural Advisor (SAMA) Site Lead

About the role

The Security Assistance Mentor & Cultural Advisor (SAMA) Site Lead will support the Iraqi Ministry of Defense, Counter Terrorism Service and MoPA in building capability to organize, train, equip, and sustain Iraqi Security Forces through Security Assistance and Foreign Military Sales.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain daily accountability and submit PERSTAT reports.
• Update the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) on SAMA personnel travel as required.
• Coordinate all movements, including Embassy air flights, DOS charter flights, ground transportation, and distinguished visitor travel.
• Provide monthly summaries of all movements and ensure visibility of logistics.
• Conduct force‑protection assessments and serve as subject‑matter expert for air and ground movements.

Required profile

• U.S. citizen with an active Secret clearance.
• Fluent in Arabic.
• 8‑12 years of leadership experience comparable to a military non‑commissioned officer.
• Experience planning and executing operations or equivalent corporate/private‑sector management experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

• Fluent Arabic language skills.
