Procurement Acquisition Supervisor & ERP Consultant

About the role

Wood is seeking a Procurement Acquisition Supervisor and ERP Consultant to join its Iraq Business Unit in Basra. The role combines procurement compliance responsibilities with ERP system support, ensuring supplier due‑diligence and effective purchase‑to‑pay processes for major oil‑and‑gas projects.

Key responsibilities

• Perform anti‑corruption and due‑diligence compliance analysis on potential suppliers, reviewing ownership structure, bank information, conflicts of interest and ethical practices.
• Support the onboarding and maintenance of suppliers in the Supplier Management System and the Purchase‑to‑Pay system, including bank account updates.
• Assist the Controls Manager in monitoring control activities, preparing reports, conducting in‑line‑file reviews and supporting annual inventory counts.
• Review existing procurement and control processes, recommend enhancements and ensure gaps are identified and closed.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in procurement compliance and supplier management within an oil‑and‑gas or energy environment.
• Familiarity with anti‑corruption, due‑diligence and ethical assessment procedures.
• Ability to work closely with controls and finance teams to monitor and improve control frameworks.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
