Civil & Structural Supervisor (6‑month contract)

About the role

Wood is seeking a Civil & Structural Supervisor for a six‑month assignment in Basra, Iraq. The role is office‑based with regular site visits and travel as required. You will oversee all civil and structural construction activities, ensuring they meet engineering drawings, project specifications, quality standards and HSE requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise civil and structural works on‑site, ensuring compliance with design drawings and specifications.
• Monitor quality standards and enforce HSE regulations throughout the project.
• Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors and client representatives to maintain schedule and safety.
• Prepare and review documentation, reports and progress updates.
• Support any required travel to project locations.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising civil and structural construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, quality control procedures and HSE standards.
• Ability to work on‑site in Basra and manage short‑term contracts.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
