Instrument Technician – Gas Field Instrumentation & Control

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Instrument Technician to join our SIBA CPF Operation and Maintenance team in Basra, Iraq. The role focuses on ensuring reliable performance of gas field instrumentation and control systems supporting oil‑and‑gas production.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting of field instruments and control systems.
• Conduct routine inspections, record operating conditions and maintain accurate maintenance logs.
• Diagnose and resolve instrument faults and operational abnormalities promptly.
• Coordinate with technical and operational teams to support instrumentation activities and ensure continuous equipment operation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Instrumentation, Automation or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in gas field instrument maintenance and calibration, preferably on projects in Iraq or the Middle East.
• Fluent English with strong communication skills for reporting and documentation.
