Inbound Logistics & Materials Coordinator

About the role

The Inbound Logistics & Materials Coordinator will support day‑to‑day materials management and inbound logistics for a major oil and gas project in Iraq. Working on a 28/28 rotation, the role ensures safe, efficient, and timely delivery of equipment and supplies throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Manage inbound logistics for all freight forwarding activities, including air, marine, and land shipments.
• Schedule shipments, track deliveries, and provide transport assurance.
• Prepare and maintain shipment documentation such as purchase orders, customs paperwork, and certificates, ensuring compliance with Incoterms and local regulations.
• Produce expediting status reports to keep stakeholders informed of delivery status.
• Track materials from purchase order issuance to site delivery, maintaining visibility across the supply chain.
• Liaise with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal teams to expedite critical items and resolve delays.
• Support warehouse operations and inventory optimization.
• Collaborate with NOC and NGC to assess and improve existing materials management infrastructure, including systems and processes.
• Ensure all activities comply with Iraqi laws, the Iraq Standard Contracting and Procurement Procedures (SCPP), and the client’s Code of Conduct, anti‑bribery, and AML policies.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in materials management within the oil and gas sector.
• Strong understanding of global oil and gas markets, supply base, and supply‑chain vulnerabilities.
• Ability to work effectively with business teams, external partners, and regulatory bodies.
• Familiarity with Iraqi legal and regulatory requirements, including SCPP.
