HSE Supervisor (6‑month contract)

About the role

Wood is seeking an HSE Supervisor for a six‑month fixed‑term assignment to support its Singapore Business operations in Iraq. Based in an office in Basra, the role involves regular site visits and travel to ensure health, safety and environmental standards are consistently applied.

Key responsibilities

• Implement, monitor and enforce health, safety and environmental (HSE) procedures at project sites.
• Ensure compliance with Wood’s internal policies, client requirements and local regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Provide HSE guidance and training to site personnel.
• Prepare and maintain HSE documentation, reports and records.

Required profile

• Proven experience in HSE supervision within the oil and gas sector.
• Strong knowledge of local Iraqi HSE regulations and international standards.
• Ability to work independently in an office environment while coordinating site activities.
• Willingness to travel as required.
